The catalyst substrate is also constructed from stainless steel and formed into a honeycomb like structure.Internal honeycomb ceramic substrates have porous structure to increase the reaction area, and ensure sufficient catalysts (Pt,Rh, Pd) on the coating surface for a higher conversion rate.
